PURPOSE:To enhance the generating efficiency as a whole and to effectively utilize the geothermal energy stored under the sea-bed by constructing a power generating base on the sea-bed and providing a generating equipment which allows the electric power to be generated at each temperature range covering a high temperature range to a low temperature range. CONSTITUTION:A power generating base 1, which is constructed on the land and is transported on the sea, is lowered to the sea-bed at the site in order to establish a generating base 1. This generating base 1 is equipped with both a production well 3 and a return well 4 in order to transfer the steam and hot water extracted from the production well 3. Out of this steam and hot water, that whose temperature belongs to a high temperature range of 150 deg.C or higher is used at generating equipment 10-13 for conventional steam generation or flashing power generation. On the other hand, the saturated steam whose temperature belongs to an intermediate range of around 100 deg.C is used by an atmospheric pressure turbine to generate power. While the steam or hot water whose temperature belongs to a low temperature range of about 65 deg.C is used in indirect generating equipment, in which CO2 is used as the medium.
