摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure items different in direction, dimension or kind and to reduce adjustment areas, by modulating light propagating through the optical fiber for each sensor by mutually different frequencies and detecting the same by the same light receiving element and measuring physical quantity detected by separating each modulated frequency component. CONSTITUTION:The electric output of a light receiving element is inputted to synchronous detectors 64, 66, 68 receiving alternating currents with drive angular frequencies omegap1, omegap2, omegap3 of piezoelectric vibration elements 52, 54, 56 from AC exciting power sources 58, 60, 62 as reference angular frequencies. Because the synchronous detector 64 receives the angular frequency omegap1 as reference angular frequency, the angular speed of rotation around a Z-axis can be measured and, because the synchronous detector 66 receives the angular frequency omegap2 as reference angular frequency, the angular speed of rotation around an X-axis can be measured and, because the synchronous detector 68 receives the angular frequency omegap3 as reference frequency, the angular angle of rotation around a Y-axis can be measured. The angular speeds in three directions of X, Y and Z are obtained from the outputs of three low band-pass filters and synthesized to calculate a moving direction and the speed in said moving direction.
