PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of knocking phenomenon, by a method wherein the opening of a throttle valve and a negative pressure in a suction pipe are detected for computation, an ignition circuit, actuated according to an instruction based on the computing result, is provided, and ignition is effected at least one cycle in a delay right after pedalling of an accel. CONSTITUTION:A control part 4 actuates an ignition circuit 5, and an ignition coil 6 is actuated by means of a signal from a throttle valve opening sensor 2 or a suction pipe negative pressure sensor 3. The control part 4 comprises a differential circuit, computing by means of an input from the sensors; a diciding circuit, deciding the size of the differential value and a given value; and an output circuit, detecting the number of revolutions of an engine by means of a signal from a distributor and cutting an ignition signal to the ignition circuit 5 by one cycle when the number of revolutions is below a given value and the differential value exceeds a given value. Compution based on the values causes proper ignition action of an ignition device and enables prevention of the occurrence of knocking phenomenon of an engine.
