PURPOSE:To provide a diagnostic composed of an antinuclear antibody labeled with radioisotope and useful for the imaging diagnosis of cancer. CONSTITUTION:A diagnostic composed of an antinuclear antibody labeled with a radioisotope (e.g. <99m>Tc, <123>I, <131>I, etc.). A remarkable progress in the imaging diagnosis with radioisotope has been achieved by the use of a monoclonal antibody, and the imaging diagnosis of cancer is being attempted by using a cancer- specific monoclonal antibody. However, it is necessary to prepare various kinds of monoclonal antibodies according to the kind of cancer, and there occurs the problems of specificity taking account of the heterogeneity of cancer antigen, antigen modulation, masking of cancer antigen, etc., and accordingly, the accurate diagnosis is difficult. Imaging diagnosis of cancer can be carried out by labeling an antinuclear antibody with a radioisotope since an antinuclear antibody is not accumulated in a normal tissue but accumulated in a necrotic tissue of cancer. The diagnostic is administered parenterally in a dose of about <=60mCi.
