PURPOSE:To permit the certain operation by arranging a plunger for forming reservoir, inside the plunger of a hydraulic rush adjustor for a suction valve or exhaust valve and discharging the air in the reservoir from the slidable part between the both plungers. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic rush adjustor is installed into the contact part of a locker arm 1 driven by a cam 3. The hydraulic rush adjustor consists of a plunger 4 which slides in a cylinder 2 and contacts with the cam 3 and a plunger 5 for forming a reservoir 13 which slides against a spring 6 in the plunger 4, and a check valve 10 urged by a spring 9 is installed between the both plungers. Into the reservoir chamber 13, oil is supplied at all times from the oil passage 21 in the locker arm 1. The air which gathers into the reservoir chamber is discharged outside through the slidable gap of each piston, passing through a groove 15, hole 18, and a groove 17.
