PURPOSE:To make it possible to widen band of luminance signals using necessary minimum IC pin by using a comb-shaped filter and an amplifier for processing carrierchrominance signals and for widening band of luminance signals. CONSTITUTION:In a VTR, when switches 70, 71 of an IC 60 for processing luminance signal and an IC 61 for processing carrier chrominance signal are connected to a contact R side at the time of recording, a Y type comb-shaped filter is formed of an amplifier 35, a comb-shaped filter 32, an attenuator 49, an amplifier 36 and an extending device 53, and the band of an LPF 3 is widened and the band of luminance signals is widened. On the other hand, at the time of reproduction, switches 70, 71 are connected to a contact P, and reproduced carrier chrominance signals from a burst signal reducing circuit 31 are processed by the amplifier 35, filter 32 and amplifier 36 etc. Accordingly, by increasing three necessary minimum pins 62-64 and increasing switches 70, 71 etc., without increasing the number of IC, parts are used in common, and widening process of band of luminance is made possible, and constitution of the VTR can be simplified.
