PURPOSE:To make the profile of Al coating material in a sharp line in the necessary shape by rolling at the specified rolling reduction rate by overlapping the strip Al foil with narrow width on the side face of a strip base metal and by providing the specified notch 4 at the prescribed intervals on the pressure- welded Al foil. CONSTITUTION:The strip Al foil 2 with the narrower width than one face of a strip base metal 1 is overlapped on the one face thereof and subjected to a pressure welding so that the rolling reduction rate of the base metal becomes 7-15%. The notches of two pieces per pair are then engrave in plural pairs at the prescribed intervals in the lengthwise direction of the Al foil thereupon. Thereafter the Al foil between two pieces of notches making a pair each other is peeled from the base metal 1 and numerous spot shaped square Al foils are formed at the prescribed intervals in the lengthwise direction on the base metal 1. The base metal 1 with spot shaped Al foil is then rolled, heated in a vacuum atmosphere finally and the Al foil and base metal 1 are subjected to a diffused joining. The clad material 5 to which plural square spot shaped Al coating material 4 are cladded in series at the prescribed intervals on one side of the strip base metal 1 is obtd.
