摘要 PURPOSE:To profile an arc point to the weld line automatically by using the parameter of the welding conditions at the welding time without providing a detecting mechanism close to a welding torch. CONSTITUTION:The welding voltage and consumable electrode between the welding chip 5 of the tip of the torch main body 3, a welding current and the body 26 to be welded, namely the feeding speed V of a wire 16 is detected and the electrical signal expressing those is processed by a computing element 40. The distance L between the welding chip - the body to be welded being the sum of the arc length LA and the extension LE of the wire 16 from the welding chip 5 is then found. The deviation in the rocking center position of the wire 16 and the groove center position of the joint composed of the body 20 to be welded is detected from the difference in the distance L between more than two welding chips - the body to be welded in the prescribed rocking position of the wire 16. The position of the torch main body 3 and fitting body 4 are then controlled so that the relative position of the rocking center position and groove center position become as the setting and the mean value of the distance L between more than two welding chips in the rocking position - the body to be welded becomes as the setting.
