<p>PURPOSE:To decrease greatly both the access frequency to a storage device and the data processing time by writing/reading on and from the storage units arranged vertically and horizontally into a matrix form. CONSTITUTION:A storage part 1 contains plural storage units Mji having prescribed length arranged in a matrix form via the column and row multiplexers 2 and 3. Then an address register 6 selects the storage units M0i and Mj0 out of the part 1. The data are written on these selected storage units from a data register via multiplexers 4 and 5 or 4 and 3. The reading operation is also carried out in both vertical and horizontal directions in the same way as said writing operation. Thus, it is not required to read out a word even when the relevant word is operated partly and this operated word is written since the writing/reading operations are not carried out for each word. This decreases greatly the access frequency to a storage device as well as the data processing time.</p> |
