PURPOSE:To generate a control signal for generating 2-phase/3-phase exciting currents of a 5-phase stepping motor by using a simple circuit with shift registers. CONSTITUTION:A clock pulse generator 1, an enable signal generator 2 for controlling the rotation/stop, and a shift register 3 for generating a shifted signal at every clock number ''1'' for the number ''5'' of the clocks of the output of the generator are provided. A signal input converter 4 for inverting the array of the output signal of the register 3 and the polarity of the signal, and a three state buffer 5 for outputting a control signal by the outputs of the register 3 and the generator 2, are provided, control signals e1-e5 are input to a driver 20, and a 2-phase/3-phase exciting current is supplied to the phase windings of the motor. |
