PURPOSE:To obtain readily an adhesive foil as a new material, by cutting and forming a design pattern on a decorative material, e.g. cloth, leather or paper, and hot-pressing and bonding a coating film of a transparent colorant metal powder prepared by mixing a solution of a transparent pigment with metal powder and thermoplastic adhesive to the design pattern. CONSTITUTION:A prepared transparent colorant metal powder solution is applied to a ground paper 1 prepared by forming a weakly tacking adhesive film 2 for release treatment by brushing or spraying to form a film 3. After complete drying, the ground paper 1 and all are cut to a specific size. After hot-pressing and bonding the film 3 to the aimed adherend, the ground paper 1 is peeled to give a metal powder film on the adherend.
