Quaternary ammonium salt of a derivative of bis 7H pyridocarbazole having formula (IV); wherein R1 which is in position 11 on the corresponding aromatic ring is particularly hydrogen; R2 which is in position 10 on the ring represents particularly a group OH; R3 is particularly hydrogen; R4 is CH3; R5 is H; the chain Z has the following structure: -(CH2)n - W - (CH2)n'- wherein: n and n' vary from 2 to 6; W is as represented by formula (a), with X representing (CH2)m, O or S; m varying from 0 to 4. These compounds have an antitumoral activity.
