NEW MATERIAL:A 1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene derivative expressed by formula I [R<1> is methyl or tert-butyl; R is 4-(fluoro, bromo, nitro or hydroxy)phenyl, benzyl, 2-pyridyl, 2-thienyl, 2-pyrrolyl, pyrazinyl, 1- or 2-naphthyl, 2-indolyl, 2-quinolyl or 2-benzimidazolyl when R<1> is methyl, and is phenyl when R<1> is tert-butyl]. EXAMPLE:2-(1,3-Dithiol-2-ylidene)-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butane-1,3-dione. USE:A preventing and treating agent for liver diseases having remarkable hepatophathic inhibitory effect. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III (R2 is lower alkyl or aralkyl; X is anion residue) in the presence of a base to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I. |
