PURPOSE:To observe the fine structure of a spectrum by processing a signal i(x) which has an energy width DELTAE and a peak value of 0 at a higher energy side than a no-loss peak part and a signal g(x) which has a peak value of 0 at a lower energy side than an absorption end part by Fourier transformer and processing G(E)/I(E) by reverse Fourier transform. CONSTITUTION:A signal whose background is already removed is read out of a memory 13 and processed 12 to obtain the signal i(x) which has an energy width DELTAE of 100-200eV and corresponds to a specific waveform as shown by (a) and Fourier transform is performed to store I(E) shown by (c) in a memory 13. Then, the signal g(x) which has DELTAE and corresponds to a specific waveform as shown by (b) is processed by Fourier transform to find G(E) shown by (d) and then G/E=H(E) is obtained and processed by reverse Fourier transform to store H(E)<-1> in the memory 13. Consequently, a spectrum waveform whose energy resolution is improved to an extent where the width of a no-loss peak of 0 is zero is obtained by this method and the fine structure of the spectrum is observed.
