PURPOSE:To obtain steroid (MDS) useful for remedying hyperandrogeninosis such as a pimple, etc., in high yield by reacting 1,2alpha-methylene-20-spirox-4,6- dien-3-one with a specific alkali metal acetate. CONSTITUTION:1,2alpha-Methylene-20-spirox-4,6-dien-3-one is reacted with preferably 5-15mol of an alkali metal acetate shown by the formula ClCF2COOM (M is alkali metal) usually in an organic solvent such as diglyme, etc. preferably at 150-180 deg.C for 1-3hr, to give the aimed 1,2alpha-methylene-6,7alpha-difluoro methylene-20-spirox-4-en--3-one shown by the formula.
