摘要 PURPOSE:To test airtightness with high precision by providing a position controller which controls the distance between two optional points corresponding to the temperature of a measured test body on the basis of a fixed relation given among the temperature of the test body and the distance between the two optional points. CONSTITUTION:A temperature controller 11 controls a heater or cooling fan under the command of a computer by using a test body temperature signal measured by a thermocouple 9 and an amplifier 10 which are fitted to the test body to measure the temperature of the test body. At this time, the distance L between two optional specific points of the test body 1 varies by DELTAL, which is easily calculated from M=delta5-delta6, where delta5 and delta6 are the quantities of displacement of displacement measuring devices 5 and 6. For the purpose, the position controller 12 moves a hydraulic cylinder 13 by a servo valve 14 through a servo amplifier 13 so that previously given DELTAL0 is obtained, and consequently a complete restraint condition is satisfied between the two specific points of the test body. Then, the leak of gas loaded in the test body 1 is monitored by a gas detecting device 15 to evaluate the airtightness of a joint with high precision.
