A cassette compartment of a compact type recorder or player comprises an outer cassette holder and an inner cassette holder. The cassette is moved from a popped-up position to a set position and then to a loading position. The cassette is inserted at the popped-up position into the inner holder which is set down to the set position together with the outer holder. The inner holder is then moved straightforward to carry the cassette at the loading position. The inner holder is interlocked with the outer holder which is spring-urged to the popped-up position and is releasably locked at the set position. |
