PURPOSE:To permit the automatic speed change control in the desired state by a driver by suppressing the down-shift in the state where an automatic transmission is set into down-shift when the accelerating speed of a car is over a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor reads-in the car speed and the acceleration opening degree. When the accelerator opening degree at the read-in car-speed is over a prescribed value, the arrival to the automatic speed change line in down-shift is judged by the microprocessor. Then, the microprocessor calculates the accelerating speed of a car. When the calculated value is over a prescribed value, in other words, when a driver desires to keep the present gear state on the transition point from an ascent to a flat road, the microprocessor is prevented from outputting a shift-down instruction signal. |
