PURPOSE:To prevent heating in irradiating a radio wave with high power by providing a metallic rod to the inner side face of a circular waveguide, providing a radio wave absorbing body in contact with the metallic rod and arranging a metallic flat plate in the inside of a waveguide converter in parallel with the metallic rod. CONSTITUTION:A connecting guide 16 is inserted between the waveguide converter 12 and the circular waveguide 13. The metallic rod 17 is provided toward the center of the inner side face of the guide 16 and the radio wave absorbing body 18 in contact with the metallic rod 17 is fixed to the outer side face by the metallic plate 19. Further, the metallic flat plate 20 is provided in parallel with the metallic rod 17 in the inside of the converter 12. Through the constitution above, a part of the reflected wave is absorbed by the metallic rod 17, while most of the waves is propagated to the converter 12 having the flat plate 20. Since the flat plate 20 is provided to the converter 12, the reflected wave is cut off and reflected again. The rereflected wave is absorbed by the metallic rod 17. In this case, since the rod 17 is made of a metal, the RF loss is small and no heating is cared of. On the other hand, the heat dissipation due to the absorption of the reflected wave subjected to cut off is delivered to the absorbing body 18, and conducted to the connecting guide 16, where the heat is dissipated.
