<p>A tracheotomy closure comprises a valve (18, 23) which is voluntarily actuable during expiration, thereby enabling the person to talk. An open tube part (10) insertable in the trachea opening comprises a cannula stub (7) which traverses the opening and opens to the outside, and carries on its front end a housing (9) for the valve. An adjustable flange ring (8) surrounds the cannula stub (7) and seals the trachea opening. The valve is formed of a non-return valve (18) which is pivotably arranged within the housing (9) of the valve so as to open during inspiration and close during expiration when a predetermined flow speed is exceeded.</p> |
