PURPOSE:To simplify the changing operation of telephone numbers by using a cursor shift key, etc. to replace only the numeric characters of the digits which require the change of the telephone numbers stored in a memory. CONSTITUTION:When the correction and change are need for a partial misinput of a telephone number set with the operation of a dial key 2, a transmitter- receiver 1 is hooked on and a retransmission key 5 is pushed. Thus a CPU 8 displays all digits of the telephone number stored in a retransmission memory 9 on a display device 3. Then a cursor is displayed under the 1st digit numeric character. Here the CPU 8 changes the display position of the cursor and shifts the cursor under the numeric character to be changed with the operation of a cursor shift key 6. Then the dial key 2 of a correct numeric character is pushed. Thus the CPU 8 changes the digit shown by the cursor into the correct numeric character. In such a way, just the digits requiring changes can be replaced without changing all digits of the telephone number. This simplifies the changing operation of a telephone number.
