PURPOSE:To provide the plate material for a planographic printing plate having good electrophotographic characteristics and printing durability, by constituting a photoconductive layer from two layers consisting of an alkali insoluble first photoconductive layer and an alkali soluble second photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A first photoconductive layer 2 consisting of phthalocyanine pigment, 60-85wt% of zinc oxide and an alkali insoluble binder resin is provided on a conductive support 1 and a second photoconductive layer 3 consisting of a photoconductive compound, phthalocyanine pigment, 50wt% or less of zinc oxide and an alkali soluble binder resin is provided on said first photoconductive layer 2. As the alkali soluble binder resin, one of a styrene/ maleic anhydride copolymer, a vinyl acetate/crotonic acid copolymer, a vinyl acetate/maleic anhydride copolymer, a phenol resin and an acrylic or methacrylic resin having an acid group or a mixture thereof is used. |
