PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum density characteristic at a high light part and also, the reduction of a recording time and the print of high picture equality by applying concurrent heating only on a heating resistance body to be transcribed by an input data. CONSTITUTION:Ink on an ink film at a selected portion out of heating resistors R1-Rn in a thermal head 6 is transcribed on a recording paper. Also, at a control counter 18, a prescribed value is pre-set from a concurrent heating source 20. The counter 18 terminates the operation of a data counter 15 corresponding to the setting of a concurrent heating value. A video signal data from a data storage device 10 and a reference density data from the counter 15 are compared 14 and a control data is stored at a shift register 16 corresponding to the result of a comparison. As a result, one of transistors T1-Tn is made on corresponding to the control data and the corresponded resistor is heated.
