<p>PURPOSE:To effectively treat water to be treated, by supplying water to be treated to a separation tank for separating a solid or oils and fats and feeding the separated water to a contact aeration tank in which a proper number of contact materials comprising fine fibers formed in a radial form extending from the peripheral part of a core body toward the outer periphery thereof are arranged. CONSTITUTION:Sewage is supplied to a solid or oils-and-fats separation tank 1 from a supply port 8 and the solid therein is collected and removed by a screen basket 9. Subsequently, said sewage is fed to a first contact aeration tank 2 to be contacted with the microbes adhered to the contact material 7 and the undissolved sedimented solid substance is recirculated to the separation tank 1 through an air lift pump 6 and the above-mentioned operation is repeatedly performed. The contact material to be used comprises fine fibers formed in a radial form extending from the peripheral part of a core body toward the outer periphery thereof. By this method, the contact material can be formed so as to control the diameter size thereof to a desired one and breeding balance can be held.</p> |
