PURPOSE:To facilitate the fine adjustment of the position of nozzles, by providing a moving means for finely adjusting a clean air nozzle and a suction nozzle with respect to a detection cell while a moving means is provided to finely adjust a sample air nozzle with respect to the clean nozzle. CONSTITUTION:Moving means 18, 23 and 26 are provided at respective mounting parts of a clean air nozzle 12, a suction nozzle 13 and a sample air nozzle 14 to finely adjust the mounting positions thereof. With such an arrangement, the adjustment of the positions of the respective nozzles 12, 13 and 14 can be done easily and in a short time with respect to the optical axis 9 of a light beam from a light emitting source. As the positions of the nozzles 12, 13 and 14 can be finely adjusted continuously with adjusting rings 18, 23 and 26 as moving means, nozzle intervals delta1 and delta2 are set optimally to prevent the lowering of the identification range of the particle size due to the nozzle intervals, wide or narrow, and the generation of detection errors thereby enabling improved reliability of the measurement. |
