PURPOSE:To confirm a desired index part easily and speedily by providing integrally a recording device which records only index parts of plural compact disks and a reproducing device which reproduces a compact disk where the index parts are recorded. CONSTITUTION:Plural compact disks 2 where much informations are recorded are put in the storage part of a disk exchanger 1 and those compact disks 2 are reproduced continuously by a reproducing part 3. A recording and reproducing part 7 for index parts is provided integrally separately from the reproducing part 3 and only index parts of compact disks 2 reproduced by the reproducing part 3 are recorded on the recording and reproducing disk 6 for the index parts. This compact disk 6 where only the index parts are recorded temporarily is reproduced by the index part recording and reproducing part 7 to confirm the index parts. Consequently, information is retrieved speedily and the time required for index part confirmation is shortened greatly. |
