<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a time required for recording and erasure greatly by detecting a recognition code during reproduction and feeding a recording medium at high speed, and then feeding the recording medium at a constant speed when a program start signal is detected. CONSTITUTION:A recording and reproducing device is placed in reproducing mode by a system controller 26 and then while a sound signal obtained at an input/output terminal 23 is confirmed, a key 27 is pushed when unnecessary information appears. Then, the system controller 26 puts the device in recording mode and a recognition code from a recording signal generating circuit 5 is recorded by rotary heads 11A and 11B in the specific area of the magnetic tape 14 for a specific time so that it is positioned at the head of the unnecessary information. Thus, the recording code is recorded and the system controller 26 controls a reel servo driving circuit 32 to feed the magnetic tape 14 at the optional speed at which the program start signal recorded on the magnetic tape 14 can be detected. When the program start signal is detected, the whose system is controlled. Consequently, the time for recording the recognition code afterwards is shortened greatly.</p> |
