发明名称 METHOD FOR PRODUCING STEEL PARTS FOR A ROLLING BEARING
摘要 Rolling bearings applied in the engines are subjected to relatively high temperature fluctuation i.e. on the levels between 500 DEG C to 600 DEG C. Therefore extremely good resistance against such temperature-fluctuations and corrosion as well is of paramount importance. It now has been found that these requirements can be met by subjecting M2 steel to superheated steam which forms a thin layer mainly of Fe3O4. This layer much increases the resistance against corrosion which feature combined with the natural resistance of M2 steel against high temperature results into an excellent bearing element for above circumstances as tests have proven.
