摘要 PURPOSE:To prepare a composite of ultrahigh MW polyolefine and another material, by inserting a core material solidified in decreasing the diameter into a hollow body whose inner diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the core material before pretreatment, by increasing the diameter by heating and by adhering it to the inner wall. CONSTITUTION:A core material 1A is e.g. an ultrahigh MW polyolefine rod prepd. by extruding the polymer to mold a rod whose diameter is D and by drawing the rod to decrease the diameter to d(d<D) near the m.p. The rod is inserted into a hollow body 2 prepd. of another material e.g. a metal whose inner diameter is D' (D'<D) and they are passed through a ring-heating means 3 to heat the core material above the m.p. The core material expands to the radial direction, tends to recover the original diameter D, reaches to the inner wall of the hollow body 2 and finally tightly adhere it to become a core body 1B. A composite containing ultrahigh MW polyolefine as a core material, especially a long composite, which has not easily been obtd. before, can be obtd. without using any special apparatus.
