<p>The new compositions based on derivatives of silica modified by organic groups are characterized in that said derivatives are amorphous solids, in that said organic groups present with a ratio from 1 to 2, as an average, per silicon atom, are lower poly-oxyalkylene groups, and in that said compositions optionally contain dopants. Are also disclosed the preparation of said compositions by a process of the sol-gel type, and the utilization of said compositions as agents for the transmission of electro-magnetic waves and/or electric currents.</p> |
