PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the presence of a target emitting an underwater sound, by amplifying the sum and difference of tow non-directional receivers to compare with each other. CONSTITUTION:Non-directional receivers 1 and 2 are connected to the input sides of amplifiers 3 and 7, the output sides of which are connected to the input sides of bandpass filters 4 and 8 and the output sides of the bandpass filters are connected to a sum making circuit 5 and a difference making circuit 6 respectively. The output side of the sum making circuit 5 is connected to the input side of the amplifier 9, the output side of which 9 is connected to the input side of a comparator circuit 10. The output side of the difference making circuit 6 is also connected to the input side of the comparator circuit 10.
