The device has a casing (211) having an inlet, from which a passage (221) leads to a passing screen (271) which tapers conically downwards, is fixed at its upper rim to the casing (211) and has a vertical axis (213). A passing and/agitating element (281) has at least one paddle (285), which can be moved along the upper, inner surface of the passing screen (271), and can be driven via an angular and/or bevel gear (257) arranged above the passing screen (271) by a drive apparatus located outside the passage (221). For each paddle (285), a cutter (301) which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the passing and/or agitating element (281) is present on the underside of the passing screen (271) in order to cut up the strands, which are pressed out of holes in the passing screen (271) during granulating, of the material to be granulated into granular particles. Arranged above the angular and/or bevel gear (257) is a metering and/or comminuting element (311) which can be rotated about the said axis (213). The device permits the production of a uniform granular material in the case of wet granulation with a high production rate and is also well suited for comminuting and screening a dry material. <IMAGE> |
