A device for the joint or separate control of the quantity of large and small ions in the circulating air of air-conditioned rooms is described. A circulating-air line (11), which is connected in terms of flow to the air-conditioned rooms (8), can additionally be supplied with fresh air via a fresh-air line (10). The fan (5) arranged in the circulating-air line (11) draws the circulating air through a coarse filter (1), a very fine filter (2) and an air-conditioning chamber (3) which are arranged one behind the other in terms of flow. The circulating air is pressed through an ionising device (6) by means of the fan (5). A part-flow is subsequently guided through an ion- measuring device and, via a control device, controls the ionising device (7). <IMAGE>
