摘要 A clock radio (1), which is designed, for example, as a living-room clock, is intended to be designed to ensure that, even under unfavourable or random spatial installation conditions with respect to radio reception properties, the decoding of received time information items (41) can be used in every case, at relatively long time intervals and in a repeated and temporary manner, to check and correct the position of the hands (7) in front of the dial (8). For this purpose, it is provided for the radio receiver (2) to be supplied from antenna coils (12) whose orientations differ in azimuth. These can be implemented by changing over between differently oriented and designed antenna coils (12) or by pivoting the direction of antenna coils (12); it being possible for the changeover or pivoting to be carried out manually by an operator, but also periodically from the autonomously operating, time-keeping clock mechanism (16). In this case, the selection and changing of the spatial orientation of the antenna coil (12) is carried out in accordance with the presence of time information items (41) which can be evaluated, specifically in accordance with the setting up of the clock radio (1) and, thereafter, periodically in the course of switching its receiving device (46) on and off. In order to avoid having to install a plurality of differently oriented ferrite bodies (11) spaced apart from one another, a single ferrite body (11) can be provided having differently oriented antenna coils (12). <IMAGE>
