PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to obtain a multi-terminal light emitting element module enabled to attain the multiplication of wavelength easily by using a slave lens having both image forming and mixing functions. CONSTITUTION:Light emitting elements 1a, 1b are arranged in parallel on the same horizontal plane separated from the input terminal of the slave lens 2 by an equal distance. An optical signal made incident upon the slave lens 2 is totally and repeatedly reflected on the sides of the slave lens 2 on the horizontal plane and mixed with each other, so that uniform intensity distribution is obtained on an output terminal. In the vertical plane, the light emitting areas of the light emitting elements 1a, 1b are superposed to the output terminal of the slave lens 2 and an image is formed. Consequently, a band-like image can be formed on the output terminal of the slave lens 2 and the optical signal can be branched uniformly by connecting an optical fiber array 3 to the slave lens 2. Thus, the number of parts can be reduced and the constitution can be simplified by using the slave lens having one-dimensional refractive index distribution. |
