PURPOSE:To obtain the titled reader and printer capable of reading an optional part of an optional member and printing to an optional part of an optional member by providing a reader section comprising a speed detection means, a read means, an A/D conversion means, a character recognition means and a storage means and a printer section comprising a read means and a print means. CONSTITUTION:In reading a document, the operator depresses at first a read command means 30 to bring an optical read means 21 and a memory control means 26 into an enable state. Then a desired part of a medium on which the desired information to be read by a pen is scanned to read it by the optical read means 21, its read signal is subject to A/D conversion and to extract the characteristic of the read information, a dictionary memory 24 is referenced and converted into a character code by a character recognition means 25 and stored in a memory 27. In printing the information stored in the memory 27, the operator depressed a print command means 40 at first to bring the memory control means 26 into the read enable state. Then the operator pushes a print head 37 onto a recording medium to be printed and scans manually the position to be printed. |
