PURPOSE:To decide a similarity at a high speed in comparing with a case of using a multiplier circuit by deciding the similarity according as the difference between the value of each spectrum normalized by an arithmetic table and each reference value lies within the prescribed threshold. CONSTITUTION:Input spectrum vectors Ri, Gi and Bi and normalized by a normalizing circuit 2. At this time division necessary for the normalization is executed at a high speed by the table. Obtained normalized spectrum vectors Ri', Gi' and Bi' are subtracted from references R0, G0 and B0 of respective vectors, and the subtracted values are decided whether they are smaller or larger than respective thresholds WR, WG and WB. In terms of the decided results DR, DG and DB, '1' and '0' mean 'smaller' and 'larger', respectively. A deciding circuit 4 take ANDs of the decided results DR, DG and DB. Where they are not so difference between all normalized spectrum an the reference, it is decided to be similar to output '1' as an output Si, and the part is stored in a memory. |
