PURPOSE:To read out desired information only and to shorten access time by storing both history information and replacement information in each allocated storage area to read these two information with discrimination and at the same time reading the update information only out of the replacement information. CONSTITUTION:An IC module 4 made of a memory chip 41 containing a CPU chip 40 and a PROM 411 like an EEPROM, etc. which can be erased with the ultraviolet rays is buried into an IC card. Then the write data information is written to an area of the chip 41 allocated in response to the history information or the replacement information via a CPU 401, etc. In a reading mode only the latest information is read out of the replacement information. Thus only the desired information is always read out and therefore the access time is shortened.
