PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity in a wide wavelength region, and superior in resistance to circumstances by forming an electrostatic charge generating layer having an optical energy gap smaller than that of a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The 2 photoconductive layers formed on a blocking layer 12 is composed of the charge generating layer 16 on the surface side smaller in the optical energy gap than that of the charge transfer layer 14 formed on the side nearer to a substrate 10, the layer 16 is made of a photoconductive material having light absorption in a longer wavelength region, and the layer 14 is made of a photoconductive material having no light absorption in the longer wavelength region, but high dark resistance, small light fatigue due to dark decay, high film-forming speed, and good adhesion to the substrate 10, thus permitting a photosensitive body high in sensitivity to a long wavelength light, small in the light fatigue due to dark decay, and superior in durability to be obtained. |
