A drawer-slide rail comprises a horizontal running flange (2) and a vertical fastening flange (1), there being punched from the fastening flange a bridge portion (3) which is integrally joined to the flange at each end and which defines a slot into which a depending tongue (4) of a plastics drawer (6) can be received.
