PURPOSE:To obtain a controller for a servo motor omitting a multiplying circuit of an arithmetic circuit by employing Hall elements as sinusoidal output encoder. CONSTITUTION:When the second DC motor 14 is rotated by the second driver circuit 17, a magnet in a position detector 19 rotates, the predetermined current from the Hall current supply circuit 16 is supplied thereto, thereby producing sinusoidal Hall voltages from the third and fourth Hall elements displaced at 90 deg. with respect to each other. A sinusoidal wave current converter 10 converts the Hall voltage to a current, thereby supplying it to the first and second Hall elements displaced at 90 deg. of the position detector 3. The Hall voltages from the first and second Hall elements are added or subtracted by an arithmetic unti 11, and issupplied to the driver circuit 12 of the first DC motor 1. In this manner, the multiplying function of the arithmetic circuit 11 can be omitted. |
