PURPOSE:To collect system information in a simple and accurate way during a system working mode and also to attain the high-speed external output, by collecting automatically the information on a substrate, etc. into a memory within a support processor. CONSTITUTION:A support processor MOP 60 delivers the identifying information on a subject substrate for collection of system information to a parallel data line 53 and the clock signal to a clock line 51 respectively. Thus a bus interface BIF 90 of the substrate shown by the substrate identifying information 93 on the line 53 is selected. Then the system information on the corresponding substrate is delivered to the line 53 from an output driver 95 within a BIF 90. Therefore the MSP 60 delivers the clock signal to the line 51 and then fetches the data on the line 53 with the prescribed timing to store it in its internal memory for collection of the system information. The MSP 60 repeats such operations together with replacement of the information 39.
