PURPOSE:To execute the same program in information processors different in execution speed without changing program contents by switching the execution time of a NOP instruction by a switch to designate it. CONSTITUTION:Switches 24, 25, and 26 are provided in a switch circuit 20 to designate the execution time of this NOP instruction out of macro instructions. For example, the execution time of the NOP macro instruction is equal to that of one micro instruction if the switch 24 is turned on, and it is equal to the execution time of two micro instructions if the switch 24 is turned off and the switch 25 is turned on. Since the execution time of the NOP micro instruction is changed in accordance with states of switches, the same program can be executed in information processors different in execution speed.
