<p>PURPOSE:To have a sorter mechanism function also as a stacker mechanism, by providing a discharge paper control means which varies a number of recording papers to be discharged to a designated paper discharge means in response to sorter control data applied. CONSTITUTION:When a data analysis control means 23a determines that a data is applied to a sorter control mechanism 24 for analysis. Then, a control signal, for example, that paper discharge trays 4b-4e are to contain no paper and a tray 4f is to contain 2,000 sheets of paper is applied to a conveyor system drive means. Further, an interval between the discharge tray 4e and the discharge tray 4f at the end position is varied in response to the signal. Then an image creation control means 23b creates an image to place a large amount of recording paper on the discharge paper tray 4f and fetches data from a host computer. Thus, a part of the paper discharge trays constructing a sorter mechanism 4 can be used as a stacker mechanism.</p> |
