PURPOSE:To make it possible to produce high quality silage, and to aim at enhancing the production working thereof, by inserting, in a silo, a large bag competable with the volume of the silo, and by blowing and charging the raw material of silage into the bag through a duct which is introduced from the top of the bag to the bottom thereof so that the raw material is confined in the bag in an air-tight condition which is maintained. CONSTITUTION:The upper opening 3A of a bag 3 disposed in a silo 2 is fastened by means of a rope wound on a pulley 2B suspended in the inside of the silo 2, while the lower section of the bag 3 is stretched over the bottom 2D of the silo 3 and is opened. A duct hose 5 is inserted into the bag 3 through an insertion hole which is formed by cutting a fabric tape applied on the upper side wall of the bag 3, and is positioned in the lower section of the bag. Air is fed into the bag 3 to inflate the latter so that it is made into close contact with the inner wall of the silo 2. In this condition a silage material 7 is packed in the bag 3 together with air. After the completion of the charge, the top end opening section is bound and sealed. With this arrangement, the bag is prevented from being turned up, and therefore, the tightly closed condition may be sustained. Thereby it is possible to produce a high quality silage without being frozen. Further, no troublesome working is incurred and therefore, it is possible to aim at saving labor.
