PURPOSE:To easily maintain the constant-speed traveling by installing a relative accelerator operation quantity calculating means for obtaining the relative operation quantity of an accelerator operating element and an aimed opening- degree calculating means for obtaining the aimed opening-degree of a throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:The relative operation quantity of an accelerator operating element on the basis of the detection operation quantity of the accelerator operating element in detecting the operation for the constant speed traveling is obtained by a relative accelerator operating quantity calculating means (c). An aimed opening-degree of a throttle valve is obtained by an aimed opening- degree calculating means (d) from the relative operation quantity - throttle valve aimed opening-degree characteristic in cubic curve form on the basis of the relative operation quantity. Further, a throttle valve is opening/closing- controlled to the aimed opening-degree by a throttle valve opening/closing control means (e). Therefore, even if the variation of the engine output is largely controlled for the acceleration work, constant car speed can be maintained easily.
