<p>A sliding gate valve for metallurgical vessels includes a fixed base plate, a valve housing and a slider unit which is linearly displaceable with respect to the base plate. The slider unit includes a carrier affording sliding guide surfaces, a support frame which is connected to the carrier by bolts, a sliding plate and stressing elements which press the sliding plate against the base plate. The housing is a rigid unit and affords a support surface which is engaged by the base plate and sliding guide surfaces which engage and support the carrier at a fixed distance from the support surface.</p> |
