PURPOSE:To obtain a multicolor recorder enabling multicolor recording with the same ink ribbon, by varying the intensity of heat irradiation of a heater to melt specified binders selectively. CONSTITUTION:This ink ribbon 11 has a structure in which ink layers 6, 8 and 10 being different in color from one another are formed on a base film 1 with binders 5, 7 and 9 of transparent heat-sensitive adhesives interposed between the adjacent layers. The binders 5, 7 and 9 are put in the half-melted state when the surface temperature of the base film 1 are T3, T2 and T1, and temperatures at which adhesions between the ink layers weaken are set respectively. When the temperature of the base film 1 is increased to T1 and a type 18 is hit by a hammer 13, the ink layer 10 is exfoliated and pressed on recording paper 17. When the temperature of the base film 1 is increased to T2, the ink 8 is exfoliated and pressed on the recording paper 17. Although the binder 9 is also in the melted state on the occasion, the ink 10 is positioned on the lower side, and thus the color of the ink 8 appears on the surface. |
