PURPOSE:To prevent working environment from being polluted and improve color changeover efficiency by a method wherein uncolored particulate resin is fed to the hopper of a molding machine and at the same time liquid coloring agent is fed to a screw part in the downstream of the hopper. CONSTITUTION:Uncolored particulate thermoplastic resin or natural resin is fed to the hopper 1 of an injection molding machine A. And liquid coloring agent, which is stored in a tank 3 and metered by a metering pump 4, is poured in a screw part 2 in the downstream side of the hopper 1. Accordingly, the premixing process in manufacturing precolored pellets eliminated and consequently the reduction and rationalization of working process are realized. At the same time, the pollution of environment due to the dusts of resin, pigment and the like during mixing is prevented from developing. Further, because the liquid-coloring agent is fed to the screw part in the downstream of the hopper, the washing of the hopper during the change of color is made unnecessary and consequently the color changeover efficiency is improved. |
