PURPOSE:To measure the bearing distribution in the axial direction of a piston continuously and accurately by allowing a bearing detector to detect variation in bearing between internal surfaces of the ring groove of a piston ring which rotates together as a cylinder is rotated slowly. CONSTITUTION:When a combined oil ring 8 rotates together with the cylinder 24 while a thin bearing measurement part 22 formed on a piston 13 is fixed, side rails 10 and 11 of the combined oil ring 6 differ in pressing force to axial internal surfaces 20 and 21 of the piston 13 in the piston ring groove 19 in a peripheral direction, so the bearing measurement part 22 is displaced in the axial direction of the piston 19. This displacement is detected by the bearing detector 30 in real-time and its bearing detected value is outputted to a load cell 34. The load cell 34 converts the bearing detected value into a voltage signal, etc., and outputs it to a bearing distribution display system 42 successively. The bearing distribution display system 42 amplifiers the signal sent from the load cell 34 by an amplifier 43 and displays it on a display part 44. Thus, the bearing distribution of the combined oil ring is measured continuously and securely.
